How to Upgrade an Item
- Make sure the item is upgradeable. Only valid weapons and armor can be upgraded.
- Choose the correct stone for the current item level.
- Use the stone on the target item.
- If the upgrade succeeds, the item gains one upgrade level.
- If the upgrade fails, the result depends on the stone used and whether the item is protected.
Examples
Example 1: Using X Stone on a +7 item
If the upgrade succeeds, the item becomes +8.
If the upgrade fails and you have 1x Upgrading Stone, the item stays at +7.
If the upgrade fails and you do not have that protection, the item may downgrade and may also break.
Example 2: Using Ultimate Upgrading Stone on a +12 item
You need 3x X Stones because the item is currently +12.
If the upgrade fails and you also have 1x Upgrading Stone, the item is protected from breaking.
Example 3: Using Overcharged Upgrading Stone
The upgrade always succeeds. The item never downgrades and never breaks.
